 Error installing, Error in cpanel (9 Replies, Read 3796 times)

The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server
administrator.

I get this when a user attempts to install.

Hi,

Go to WHM -> SOftaculous Admin Panel -> Software
Click on "Update Settings"
All missing files will be downloaded.

We are testing out Softaculous and are getting this error after a fresh install on one of our cPanel servers.

Have tried doing the WHM -> SOftaculous Admin Panel -> Software

Click on "Update Settings", but it still shows this error when a user tries to install a script:

The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator.

Hi,

It will show you the download progress and when its done it will put some text at the bottom.
Please wait till it finishes that.

Hello,

When updating through WHM -> SOftaculous Admin Panel -> Software -> Update Settings we get a green check icon for all scripts and it ends with the phrase "Completed updating the files. Go back to Software"

Users still get the error "The INFO.XML file could not be found! Please report this to the server administrator" and users are not able to install any Softaculous scrtips ... what could we do to solve this?

We are interresting in buying this solution for all our cPanel servers, but off course needs the solution to work beforing testing it out...

Our support dept. notified me of the problem and solution applied:

We ran the following command:
touch /var/cpanel/usecpphp

It tells cPanel to use cPanels PHP binary and not the WWW PHP binary.
Its working now.

The server should have been setup to use cPanels PHP binary, I will have a chat with our server opreations to figure out why this was not the case.
