Hi I am using softaculous to help me upgrade joomla for several similar accounts. I use a separate cpanel server, for testing the upgrade.
I have the same accounts on this server, so everything is mostly the same.
I am moving the backups by copying the ~/.softaculous/backup and the ~/softaculous_backups/ files.
When I tried to restore after copying, the files restored but the database did not.
There was no error message. Instead, I was told that the restore had been successful, I think this should warn you if the database restore was not successful.
I only realised because the old database I had already upgraded so there were no database tables to fix.
I have cleanly worked around this by first deleting the installation, and then restoring the backup
But I still have a problem, the first time I discovered I restored only the database. Now the installation thinks it has version 2.5.9 of Joomla even though it is 2.5.14.
  1. is this the right place to report this bug
  2. how can I fix the installation so it is the correct version of Joomla.
