Hi!
i've cloned a joomla installation (2.x.x.) in a subfolder.
I've created a new db, cloning the original one.

When i change something on the cloned site the mod is present also in the original one. Is this normal???

I see that the configuration.php in the cloned folder is the same of the original (so the db of cloned site is still the original one).

I want to use clone to make a Test site, is possible or not?

Hi,

Sir Clone should not use the database settings of the previous installation. It should use the new database.

Can you please confirm if the database settings in the previous install was the same as in the configuration.php file.

If the details do not match please edit the installation and update the database details :
http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_edit_an_installation

And then clone the installation and it should update the database details.

Please let us know if you still face the issue.

HI.
I've checked that the db setting in the previous installation is exaclty the same of the previous configuration.php

Tried same operation on other site, on the same host, and i get the same problem.

How can I solve it?

Thankyou.

Hi,

It seems you have changed the database details in your original installation manually hence it is not updated in Softaculous records which is causing the issue.

Can you please provide the control panel login details with the support ticket we will check it for you.
