 WordPress - An unknown error occurred, Installation error? (3 Replies, Read 10126 times)

AMPPS 4.6.7 & PHP 5.6.9 on Win 7 Pro SP1 x64 4Gb server 		I have just moved to a new VPS and now when I use Softalicious to install WP and then try to install a plugin, I get the following results:

Search -- "An unknown error occurred"
Upload -- Works as its supposed to.
Featured -- "An unknown error occurred"
Popular -- "No plugins match your request"
Newest -- "An unknown error occurred"
Recently Updated -- "No plugins match your request"
You may also browse based on the most popular tags in the Plugin Directory -- No plugin tags shown.

Has anyone any idea what is going on? Could this be some kind of misconfiguration on my server, a server-side problem at WP's plugin page site or the WordPress install script not working as it should?

AMPPS 4.6.7 & PHP 5.6.9 on Win 7 Pro SP1 x64 4Gb server 		It turned out that this was either a WordPress problem or a server misconfiguration, depending on which way you look at it, but I failed to include Curl when I recompiled Apache and once I did that, everything was back to normal. 

Softaculous is now doing exactly what it should, in fact, it always was only this problem with with Apache/Curl masked that.
