:-( Hello can anyone please provide me with a way to fix or just have a email working i have tried everything and eveyr suggestion online this is the only free panel i have ever had this much of a issue with for setting up a working email i keep getting:
ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

from the control panel, i have dovcot installed and everything is ok as far as i can tell i think webuzo needs to make the email setup more easy and provide auto configuration..

So i installed  SquirrelMail  to 12000.tk/mail

ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: imap.12000.TK.
111 : Connection refused
i am a bit of a newbie to vps but i use zpanel with no problems on the email side i didnt even have to check the setting it just worked, is this because i am using a .tk domain? the vps i am using is just for testing webuzo but i am thinking of moving my other vps's to webuzo due to it being the best ( if emails work ) so if emails work with webuzo i would say it is the best free panel for hosting your own sites without being a reseller, though right now i have been struggling for 5 hours so this is quite a pain to be honest but being a newbie maybe its just me but online lots of people are having problems with webuzo and email admins please fix this asap make everything auto installed and enabled then if people dont want to use email they can disable it, instead of having dovecot etc not installed as standard, i am so confused :(

Also i installed a site wit auto installer to 12000.tk  and i can not access the site and obviously i can not reset the password because email does not work with webuzo as far as i can tell, i installed another script and there was no user name or password provided and i did not receive the email after, though my install the last auto install i did i received a email to my yahoo mail box saying SquirrelMail has been installed to 12000.tk/mail

Please help me i really like this free panel its so easy to use and has lots of good options the only thing i am bothered about is email everything else is not important

i do have a way round this but only for my top level paid domains i can use email / webmail free with my registrar though for a .tk domain i am not sure, email is very important please help me i want to use this panel for my other vps servers but need to wait untill i learn how to sort this email problem out etc if there is also any for dummies basic instructions youtube videos please post links though i have tried most things to fix my issues

Just checked my spam i see 2 emails form 2 auto installs i did from my .tk email i created with webuzo so emails are sent but i can not read incoming emails hmm

basically i think this is a problem many p[eople have been having for a long time and the admins should look into making it so when someone installs webuzo the email settings are mostly configured so all we do is add a new email and when we go to webmail via control panel it works for me its not working at all please post a fix to this as i have tried everything and i cant seem to fix it :(

Use "12000.TK" instead of "imap.12000.TK" and restart your Dovecot service.

Also, your hostname should be a FQDN.

control panel check mail:

ERROR:
ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

installed webmail to 12000.tk/mail

Error connecting to IMAP server: imap.12000.TK.
111 : Connection refused

nothing seems to fix this sorry i am not a programmer etc and i have tried many things to fix this i think webuzo needs a update so people will nto face these issues in future, webuzo is a perfect free panel the only problem is email i really hope this can be fixed asap as it has been around a year or more that this issue keeps popping up i have seen this issue going back to 2012 for webuzo

Edit the webmail configuration to use the settings.

Howdid you even install the mail script at 12000.tk/mail ??

While installing you should use "12000.TK" instead of "imap.12000.TK".

Alternately, you can edit the installation to make the necessary changes.

how do i edit the installation to make the necessary changes?

i sent a support ticket and they said they will be updating webuzo to fix the email problems making it easy for newbies like me to get up and running with webuzo panel

Simple delete the installation and install it over again by a click from the Webuzo Enduser Panel and make sure you are using "12000.tk" for the host name

As for the default Squirrel Mail provided by Webuzo what error are you facing with the same ?

Is it not related to Dovecot.

Simply change the host in your email script and that should fix it up.

The changes are to be done in the email script that you have installed and not Dovecot.

Do not edit the Dovecot configuration or you will cause it to crash.  :P

How did you install this :
http://12000.tk/mail/src/login.php ??

Did you install it using Webuzo ?
If yes simply remove the installation and install it over again, you will be asked for IMAP/SMTP server name while installation.

i just reinstalled exim too i notice the name Daemon on this and on dovecot how do i make sure Daemon is running?

Sir the issue is related to the invalid imap/smtp server name provided while installing the mail script and not related to Exim or Dovecot.

You need to edit the installation of the email script (squirrelmail/webmail/roundcube/etc) to hold the proper valid server name i.e the domain name itself.

Re-installing Dovecot or Webuzo is not the solution for now.
Open a support ticket so that we can debug the issue on your server and fix the same.

i already have :) ticket  284440  if you guys fix it please tell me how you fixed the prob and if it was me that made the mistake or wrong input etc i will leave it for now and see if you guys can fix it, i have other vps's so i will need to install webuzo for those too so i will need the info on how to do this correctly :)

by the way the vps server is just for testing at this time so do whatever you like :) just let me know how you fixed the email prob if it can be fixed thank you for your reply;s and for trying your best to help me resolve the email situation
