Hello All,

I would first like to thank all of the developers for their free and open-source ampss software. It is very well thought out and very useful.

So I am just trying to get into setting up my own web server.
I am running OS X Maverick 10.9.1.
I have installed ampss 2.2

I have a two part-question.
1. How do I turn ON my firewall, and still allow apache and all of the ampss software to be seen from an outside web?

I was able to turn on port-forwarding and forward to port 80 to allow for the web traffic to go through.
I am able to access my web sites from my outgoing IP address found from whatsmyip.org

If I turn my firewall OFF, I can access the web page. If I turn it ON, I cannot.
What is the particular application I need to allow?
I tried allowing the ampss client access but that did not work.

2. Slightly more important -
I've installed the WordPress CMS through ampss.
Locally, I can access the web page and everything loads just fine.
When accessing the page from my external IP address, the web page is very plain and disfigured. It seems like I am missing the graphics or something. Please help! Attached is a screen shot of what I see.

Thank you for your time!

Please disregard question 1 regarding the Maverick Firewall.
I was able to get it through by shutting down the apache and mysql service and turning it back on after the Firewall was enabled.
This prompted my firewall to add the exceptions.

I still need help with question 2 though!

Hi,

Okay. What do you see when you access http://<your-external-ip> from both local machine and other machine ? Is it opening the same Web Directory of Ampps ?

You will have to create a domain from Ampps Enduser Panel. Keep the domain name : <your-external-ip>. Restart apache after adding the domain.

We have not tested this but it should work. You can check the virtualhost created by Ampps at Ampps/apache/conf/extra/httpd-vhosts.conf

If you need to modify it please create a new conf file and include it in Ampps Application -> Apache-> Configuration (Same like httpd-vhosts.conf)
