php -v detected version 5.1?

Seems you have manually installed php.
Remove it using the following command

Root > yum remove php*

>> if I want to upgrade the version of php, I have to upgrade via the command line or through webuzo?

You can remove and install multiple php versions using Webuzo
Guide :
http://www.webuzo.com/wiki/Install_System_Apps

You can also switch among PHP versions to be used.

Hope this helps :)
