Hello everyone :)

OK so I had a little bit of a trauma when installing softaculous this morning, finally installed ioncube via SSH, added the relevant line to my php.ini file then it still wouldn't work, after a little more research I ticked the little box in tweaks in WHM and bam it was away with no issues.

SO you will understand why I am so confused with my next problem, I went to install WHMCS using softaculous, install went fine but when I goto the install directory I get a message saying Ioncube is not installed, it is otherwise softaculous would not work.

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance

Did you go into tweak settings in Root WHM and click Ioncube in Tweak Settings?

Hello :)

Thanks for taking the time to reply, yes I did tick the box in tweak settings in WHM lol that took me about 2 hours to figure out this morning and was stopping me from using softalucous, ticked the box then everything worked fine.

This is what I cannot understand, softalucous has been able to decode using ioncube yet for some reason WHMCS cannot....................

cPanel has two PHP binaries.
The Tweak settings enable it for cPanel and WHM only and NOT the WWW.
please check /etc/php.ini has an entry or not ?

Thanks for taking the time to reply, and thanks for your insight that makes sense :)

I did include the relevant line in the php.ini file in the extension section probably done it wrong lol I will have a re-check

Try running /scripts/easyapache and installing ioncube that way then running /scripts/makecpphp then restart apache.

Thanks for replying I appreciate your time :)

Sorry for such a simple question I am still very much learning when it comes to SSH, I have navigated to the /scripts folder and can see the easyapache my question is though how do I make it run? ALso is there anything I should be wary of considering my knowledge of this kind of raw server admin is well to say the least very little :)

:) Manahed to do it via SSH and PHPentensionmgr all working now :)
