I am sorry about the server crash.
But the server crash is not because of Softaculous, its a cPanel function.
You must have installed ioncube manually and hence this crash.
Softaculous is in no way involved with the server crash.
I just told you the steps that cPanel has.

Yeah I know that he wasnt accusing Softaculous.

I also seem to get the error mentioned in here a few times while trying to uninstall softaculous. Any ideas would be great. I am logged in as root when this happens.

Thats a cPanel bug in the old versions.
Which version of cPanel are you using ?

Hi,

We were referring to the file softaculous.cpanelplugin
i.e. if the above file was deleted the you will have to place the file in the following folder:
/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/
