 VPS fails to start after installation, xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1,password': Failed to bind socket: Cannot assign requested address (5 Replies, Read 16566 times)

Hi

I am trying to test virtualizor on or local network and i am getting the following error

The VPS failed to start
error: Failed to create domain from /etc/libvirt/qemu/v1001.xml
error: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2015-09-19T12:01:05.289476Z qemu-kvm: Failed to start VNC server on `xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1,password': Failed to bind socket: Cannot assign requested address

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  is our static IP at the office however the internal IP of the server is 192.168.0.32  (server will be moved to a datacentre and will have its own static ip address)

Where should i change/FIX this?  any HOW TO?

Hi,

Can you set the VNC IP in Virtualizor Panel under Configuration >> Slave Settings >> Set VNC IP and check.

Had the same issue.
Setup the VNC IP as suggested and it works.
The IP that you need to assign is the private IP of the Virtualizor panel and not any random IP as that was not clear to us.

The only issue we have now is, that the VNC HTML5 gives an error 1006 yet we can access the VPS through Java no problem.
Do you have any suggestions?

Are you accessing the server using port 4085 or 4084 ?
Also is the master proxy only check box checked in Configuration  >> Master settings under NoVNC settings ?

2- I tried once check and not checked but still not working.

Hi,

Can you check the use server hostname check in Slave settings under NoVNC if you are accessing your server using a hostname.

Is it possible to open a support ticket and provide the details there so that we can debug and fix the issue.
