I upgraded MySql to Mariadb and now when installing an application on a cPanel accounts where username exedeed 8 chars:

The following errors were found:

The MySQL Connection could not be established.


I found that the problem may be the prefix lenght of db name

Hi,

As per your support ticket.

Your issue was resolved.

The issue is due to recent change in cPanel to allow longer database names in MariaDB.

We have fixed the issue and the patch will be available in the next version of Softaculous.

Any idea when the new version will be released ? Or any workaround beside changing the account username ?
