 updated ampps to the new version., what you must do (and there is a bug) (14 Replies, Read 304666 times)

if you updated ampps to the new version , closed your running ampps first.

stop running apache , mysql and ftp servers and ect...

than shut down the controlpanel ampps

run update and , after its done , it will run again however.....

warning , people that have subdomains or domains running or like vhost in the file httpd.cof better to make copy from this file or all your stuff will be deleted.
always backup php.ini or vhost.conf

fisrt bug that i see is some text bug in http://localhost/ampps/index.php?act=login

above the screen you wil see this ->>

open the file C:\Ampps\ampps\softaculous\enduser\enduser_index.php

and above you will see the bug text , just deleted the text thats all...
open it with some phpdesigner 2007pe

lol i have deleted this text and the text is stil on my end user ??

the bug text is in the admin section 2.

in this file admin_index.php

another webpage with the same text is in admin (the C:\Ampps\ampps\softaculous\index.php

have deleted this above text but its still there.

its very strange i will check it out from ping dom tools..

ok the text is no more , there are 4 files that you must check out and the above text must you deleted.

the last file is in C:\Ampps\ampps\softaculous\enduser\index.php

all the 4 files have the text deleted all 4 text and its good now..

Hi,

Things mentioned here might be a bug.

But the fixes you are providing are not a solution.

Modifying softaculous files is not recommended at all. And you might break your Softaculous auto-installer.

Please open a ticket. We will help you upgrading AMPPS.

These lines #!"C:\Ampps/php/php-cgi.exe" are necessary in all our Softaculous files. :)

first off all on this 4 pages that i say there is 4 times unnecessary text.
second the only solution to get this text of your panel is modifying the text by deleted it...
this text have nothing the do with the installer of Softaculous or auto installer works just fine...
the text that i say you must the deleted have not anny of use ...

have no ,use at all , you are from the team of softaclous but you must now if you are in development that this is text on the php script have no use at all, and the only way for this text is by deleted it , and only then you text is nomore on the panel..

why shall i need help , and must people open some ticked this is the only way to remove the text on the panel...
by the way the code of ampps files it self is just scramble code but this text bug have nothing the do with that at all. :squi:

Hi,

Now softaculous works on PHP-CGI 5.3 only. So the above shebang is necessary. It will work even if the user has switched to PHP 5.4, 5.5 or any version.

Your Apache configuration was not updated by Ampps due to some reason so you are seeing this error(line on the top). Just restore the Default Configuration if you haven't done any changes. AND REVERT BACK ALL THE CHANGES DONE IN SOFTACULOUS FILES. Else Softaculous won't work.

If you have made any changes in httpd.conf then we have your conf backup Ampps\conf\httpd.con-***.bak, you can do the changes manually by looking at this wiki and copy it as httpd.conf (Make sure just the Ampps Application is kept open while doing these changes, else httpd.conf won't reflect at its original place):

euh sorry to say my good man but there is nothing wrong with my ampps and php 5.3 , 5.4 or 5.5 they all work like a charme , and my apache is working , i dont really know what you are talking about...

the above text in the 4 files are just text files and i really dont know why ampps need this files???????????????????????

by the way what you say of softaculous works only on php5.3 PHP-CGI 5.3 only are you so sure of this lol...

why is it that my is working on all of them ??? i am know on php 5.5 and it works all..

tested on all php versions and php5.3 -cgi , i say that on this 4 files that you dont need this text

by the way how can your text that is outsite the php zone ,how can this be working tell me that...
on all this 4 pages the text is out the php index zone this can never be working and make whatever contact to some php-cgi , i will like to see that...
i have write for abyss server alot of stuff and this server works alone time with php-cgi so i think i know what i talking about...
php-cgi must always in httpd.conf always and must link to the php map of php-cgi.exe always befor it can work , thats not the story in ampps... i have allready check it out

Hi,

And if you can access Softaculous auto-installer while keeping current PHP version 5.5. Means softaculous is already running on PHP-CGI 5.3(Don't know how). Because there is still no ionCube Loader available for PHP 5.5 yet and Softaculous won't be able to work without ionCube Loader as they are encoded.
