Yesterday version 2.0.6 was released. I expected Softaculous to notify me of the update overnight which it usually does. This morning I posted a question on their forums asking if the new version had been pushed to you - I received this reply:

Softaculous is nothing to do with us.

Sometimes they get in touch when they need help creating packages.

You'll need to contact them directly.   

Is this correct? If so could you do the required update please.

Hi,

We try to launch updates within in 24 hours of script launch. We have updated webtrees to 2.0.6.

Could you confirm the process please? I had been given the impression that it was the responsibility of developers to notify or push updates to yourselves. Is this correct or do you monitor all the supported packages daily to see if any have changed?

Hi,

We monitor all the script packages daily to see if there is an update in it. Once we get to know about update. We make package at our end. Test it on various panel and environment. If there is no issue in script then we release it in Softaculous.
