From Joomla to Wordpress, help needed to switch (2 Replies, Read 1864 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	I am the new webmaster of www.it-kattegat.nl and don't like working with Joomal. I would like to switch to Wordpress. But how do I do that? - create a new database- install wordpress- link it to the new database- add content to the wordpress site- remove the Joomla site- remove the Joomla database? But how do I get a url for the wordpress site? And how do I move it to the main site after adding the content? Please help. Jolanda

However I did a quick Google search and I found there is a WordPress plugin which imports the Joomla site to WordPress : https://wordpress.org/plugins/fg-joomla-to-wordpress/ There is also a tutorial available on how to use the plugin : https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-your-site-from-joomla-to-wordpress/ Note: We have not used/tested the above plugin and we will not be able to provide any support for the same. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool
