Thaks for the response but it was not clear to me what you mean.

My question was, what is the process to upgrade? I am new to Linux and Centos. My website uses Joomla as the CMS. On top of Joomla is YooTheme and one of the extensions is Akeeba Backup. Akeeba will no longer support PHP5.2 in it's next upgrade due to limitations and security issues with PHP5.2. Joomla it appears will also move to the newer PHP.

So, having said that can I upgrade the PHP and not effect the Webuzo install?
Does Centos6 support Webuzo? And, if it does support Webuzo what steps do I take to keep my files and changes to Centos5 and Webuzo in order to upgrade?

I realize this may be a relatively dumb question and that since Webuzo is so new you haven't even considered documenting how to upgrade Centos.

What is frustrating is that Webuzo sits ontop of Webuzo. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a one click upgrade process similar to a CMS extension style upgrade that also allowed updating Centos without destroying and overwriting the Webuzo install. Possibly you could contract this out to the Akeeba team. I have never seen a more brilliant tam of programmers (I'm not getting paid to endorse them).

The reason I recommend them is because both RocketTheme and YooTheme use a version of their backup software to create a complete demo installation of their products. It's customized, etc...

So, it would be done by backing up the directories and saved somehow and then the next step is upgrade, After upgrade the software reinstalls the Webuzo directories, etc... afterwards back in.

Anyway, I see an issue here if you want to keep the product as simple as it is to work with. The PHP and operating system updates need to be integrated.

>>  What is the process to upgrade?
Assuming you wan't to upgrade CentOS 5.x to CentOS 6.x, you can follow this guide:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/MigrationGuide
However, as the guide says fresh install is recommended over an upgrade and also it has not been tested yet.

>> Can I upgrade the PHP and not effect the Webuzo install?
Upgrading PHP might restrict Webuzo from functioning properly.
The best solution for your case would be to reinstall CentOS 6.x and then install Webuzo which will give you PHP 5.3 which you require.
You can follow this guide to backup and restore your installations on your new server:
http://www.softaculous.com/docs/How_to_Restore_a_Backup_on_a_New_Server

>> documenting how to upgrade Centos
Sir CentOS is an operating system and Webuzo is a Single user Panel which works on CentOS. Hence, documentation of upgrading CentOS is behind the scope.

>> One click upgrade process
Sir, Webuzo provides one click upgrade process for the scripts it provides and also upgrade itself, but not for CentOS.

>>  The PHP and operating system updates need to be integrated.
Sir, we will be providing multiple PHP versions in the upcoming versions of Webuzo.
