We are announcing the discontinuation of the Softaculous Free license tier as part of our ongoing efforts to streamline our licensing offerings and provide users with access to the full Softaculous experience.
To ensure a smooth transition for existing users and make it easy for new users to get started, we have introduced the following changes to our licensing system.
What’s Changing?
1. Existing Free Licenses Upgraded to Premium
All existing Softaculous Free licenses have been converted to Premium licenses, with their expiry date set to January 31, 2027. Existing users can continue using Softaculous with Premium license access until this date.
2. One-Month Trial for New Installations
When Softaculous is installed on a server that does not have an existing license, a one-month trial license will be issued automatically by default. This allows users to explore Softaculous and experience its features before deciding on a suitable licensing option.
What Does This Mean for Users?
Existing Free license holders can continue using Softaculous with Premium access until January 31, 2027. For new installations without an existing license, the automatic one-month trial provides an opportunity to experience Softaculous without requiring a license to be purchased upfront.
